Hey guys I hope that if someone reads this they'll recognize my posts from way back when in 2003/2004 when I was just a little boy, at 11-12 years old. I'm now 20 years old and going to Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. It's been great, with a lot of ups and downs, mostly downs but I'd say for the better. I'm now a junior majoring in Film & TV and still double-majoring in Politics (might give that up), and transferred from Photography, which was a great solid two years before getting into Film (which is another beast). So far it's going alright! I'm going through all of the production materials, speeding away with phone calls to get together a crew and actors for my set. I hope to use this blog again like I used to. I'll probably add some posts of my "artwork" from high school up to now.

MY thoughts.

I hope not to sound in any way like someone who was fed off of someone else's ideas. These are my thoughts that are as raw as an uncooked chicken from the wild.

Most New Yorkers don't have any problems. The only kind of problem a New Yorker would have is having rude boss, losing a certain amount of money such as 1,000,000 that you wouldn't spend anyway because you have tons more, you're an "artist" but no one has realized that, you're a not-yet-famous "actor" in your 30s, you're a rich kid and your problem that would depress everyone is that you haven't got your weekly allowance, and much more "terrible" problems that even God or Buddha have trouble being serious about because they're laughing theirselves to death.

There are many fake New Yorkers with fake issues and fake lives. There are a bunch of poseur Punks, Goths, Rappers, Gangsters, etc. The "Punk" of today listens to My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Good Charlotte, and many other pop bands and simply calls themself a misfit. Many former Punks today listened to The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, The Dead Boys, The Buzzcocks, The Damned, The Clash and would earn the title Misfit by getting in jail because of knifing someone, setting a car on fire, constant random fights with other bands that would result in many injuries, riots, etc. Many people today don't realize that a lot of black people act ghetto but have no reason to be. Just because you're black doesn't mean you can act like you don't know shit. One of my neighbors who's black wears the super new clothes but yet wears them in a ghetto style.

I also wish people never followed trends.

Some people think their life is going downhill and yet, they lead these materialistic lives with their trendy clothes and their expensive gadgets. Then people smoke so that they can feel better and screw up the New York air. No one notices but the air is TERRIBLE here. You're either inhaling smoke from halal food stands or someone's cigarette.

Acceptance and Rejection Letters

Yesterday, Saturday on March 10, 2007, I recieved two rejection letters from Hotchkiss and Kent. I have also recieved letters from Trevor and Fieldston in thin envelopes. LREI sent me a acceptance and rejection letter stating that they cannot accept me on the terms of financial aid. In the midst of this however, I got accepted to a boarding school that I very much enjoyed going to and the name of this boarding school, is Choate. For those who are not so familiar with the name, Choate has had many students such as John F. Kennedy, Edward Albee, Glenn Close, Lauren Ambrose, Paul Mellon, and many others.

That is all the news so far and I'll update as much and as soon as possible.

American Museum of Natural History

Since October, I've been taking classes at the Museum of Natural History with their after-school program. I took a beginner course called "What Is DNA?".* Although I have been taking AP Biology classes at MIT in Boston by taking a bus from Chinatown every few Sundays, I took this beginner genetics course not because I was losing my memory, but because the museum has an internship program. There are the Saltz Internship and the Research Internship programs. The Saltz program is mainly for teenagers that want to talk to the public about exhibits, etc. The Research Internship program allows students to record data, do lab work etc. for either Anthropology, Enivornmental Biology, or Genetics. So now I am taking a Proteins class in genetics.

The problem though, is that my "insane" Astronomy teacher at AMNH rescheduled the class which is usually on Thursdays, for a Wednesday. He also rescheduled a day before Wednesday. Pissed off, I decided to go to Proteins (which also was on Wednesday) because I didn't want to go to a class that was barely rescheduled. The sad thing though, is that I love Astronomy and I have only just realized how that Astronomers literally do have their heads in the clouds. :\.

Dig, This Time It's Serious [Happy (belated) New Year]

I'm officially back now. I've been posting that I was back before and disappeared a few times. The reason is because of 1.) Pure laziness, 2.) I didn't want to get sucked into Blogger yet again, and 3.) I felt that I needed to delete this blog but I didn't because of pure laziness. So here I am! It's good to post on Blogger again. You may wonder why I'm back now after two years or so, so would I. The reason I am back is the same reason why someone would have a family reunion or why one would write to an old friend. I am back because I have been gone and have missed posting and reading other blogs. I'm also going to be posting because I need to write down my thoughts that I have been carelessly thinking and forgetting. I will post either later today or tomorrow.

I'm back.

Hey Haven't been posting for a while; the internet had been disconnected for a short while and I moved back to the city and moved to Astoria, Queens. It's a very nice area with many good restaurants and places to go such as Kinko's and a guitar shop :P. I don't know much about the area because I had to come here to Florida after 3 days of living in the apartment for certain reasons such as my mother works all day and I have to take care of the last living dog and greyhound in the house since Ricky and Neo died. As I am typing this I am being continually begged for the food on the table next to me by Destiny the dog.

I am also no longer going to Scarred Dale Middle School because of all the materialism, too much work one can handle, lack of caring in the teachers, things I've already learned from homeschooling such as a Dichotomus chart and cells. So now I am homeschooling again, I am not alone though because once I come back from Miami to NYC I will be going to the River Project. :D:D. I'm also buying an acoustic guitar here in FL and my mother is sending a beginner's book to learn guitar. So now, I am also into '80s goth bands such as The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, and I kind of like the Virgin Prunes. I'm now also more into Punk music then I was before, I always listened to the Clash and still do, I like Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, and the New York Dolls.

Now, some of you New Yorkers may know that CBGB's is closing down. It's becoming into oblivion. Nothing. No music. Nada. It will be closing down by August. However, there is a possibility it can be untouched if you can please donate. Before I continue on about this let me explain to some of you what CBGB's is. CBGB's was and is a club where many famous New York bands came from. The Ramones, The Sex Pistols have been there once, and The Beastie Boys for example first performed their before they became famous. The Sex Pistols only performed there because they were touring in NY. Also, Joey Ramone Place is where CBGB's is because nearly everybody knows the Ramones performed there. So, if you want CBGB's to be saved you must and I mean must donate. If you are someone who promises to donate but doesn't do anything about are the kind of people who are lazy arses and can't do something for everyone's own good. Go here

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault

I got Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (which is an AWESOME GAME!), three days ago Monday. The first mission is when it's 1942 and you're in Africa to save an SAS British agent. It starts off as the Captain giving orders to your squad while you're in a truck going to a Nazi camp and your drivers are disguised as Afrika Privates, a Nazi Afrika Officer stops the trucks (there are two) and asks for papers so we could continue on, of course he didn't see our squad in the trucks or else he would set an alarm and there would be chaos, but the problem was the drivers in a truck behind us wouldn't give the papers so one of them shot the officer. Now, the officer wasn't alone, there were Nazis surrounding the area, so we had to get out of the truck as soon as possible because on of the Germans had a Panzerschrek (German rocket-launcher) and was going to fire it on us and you have to do lots of crazy stuff in the mission. In the second mission, it's 1943 and you're in Norway (you know the country in Scandinavia, across the ocean from a country called Denmark which is north of Germany) and you have to sabotage a U-boat (German submarine) and also destroy one of the latest inventions German scientists had created. It is a radar for U-boats that won't allow any Allied ships to see the U-boats but also the radar can identify them. There's a part in the mission where I'm disguised as a German officer and I love doing this thing where these German Elite guards ask for my papers and keep on asking until they show their guns threatenly at me and at the very last minute I finally show my papers and then they say (in German) "My apologies, sir." The mission after this one is the famous US invasion during D-day at Omaha Beach (Normandy Beach.) Since I have Allied Assault on the computer, it'll be easier for me to get screenshots that I took by myself while playing the game.

Celebrating my Birthday, October 20th

Wednesday, last week I had woken up by the sound of "Happy Birthday" from my mother. I had gotten two very good games: Medal of Honor: Frontline for the Playstation 2, and Star Wars Battlefront for the PC. Before I took the bus to school, I had a bit of time to try my new games, so I did. I tried Frontline first of course, since I'm into WWII in Europe. I play the role as Lieutenent Jimmy Patterson, who was an actual soldier who fought in WWII. Anyway, the very first level is June 6th, 1944, Omaha Beach a.k.a Normandy Beach. I can't explain what had happened in the game since the things that I saw were to horrifying. :P (no offense to WWII veterans). I'll try and get pictures from my gameplay soon. Star Wars Battlefront was also cool. You get to be on whichever side and battle you want to be in. You can be with the Republic (The Clone Troopers), CIS (The Droid Army), The Empire (Darth Vader's Army), The Rebels (against Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker's side). I've been conquering nearly the whole galaxy with my Clone Army. Well now I'm playing Medal of Honor: Frontline at Omaha Beach, because for some reason I keep on getting Bronze Medals when I did what I had to do for a Gold.

A Girl With A Pearl Earring and Das Boot

I saw the movie yesterday, and I thought it was a normal romance movie in the present. A Girl With A Pearl Earring is based in Holland in the 1600s. It's basically trying to figure out who was the maiden in Vermeer's (a famous artist, who Colin Firth plays as) paintings. It's a good movie, I ordered it from Netflix. :D. I'm also going to see Das Boot (means Boat or The Boat in german)soon. It's a deustch (german) film about a german U-boat in the 40s. It came out in the 80s I think in '81. It was re-released in '97. The movie explains that, war isn't good for everybody.

Siouxsie and The Banshees

Last week on a Monday, I took a train from Westchester to the city. I was going to see Siouxsie and The Banshees, well actually they're now The Creatures but everybody knows who they were. When I arrived in the city I walked from Grand Central to BBKings. When I got there, I went downstairs to where the conert was going to be. The concert area was very small, they said it could carry 1000 people but I doubt it could carry 500. The placed was filled with smoke, it was either from people or the placed was just like that. We (me and my mother, I am no momma's boy, I am just a bit young to go to a concert by myself) came early to get good spots; there were still people there, but it wasn't a lot. We waited about an hour for her to come; later on she finally came. Siouxsie looked good but she now has a big head (no doubt from the cause of her age) :X. They played music such as Kiss Them For Me, The Happy House, etc. We met a friend of Iggy Pop. He was a bit stinky though. Well, that's what happened in The Creatures (Banshees) concert.

There are blogs out there that are supposed to be "similar" to mine that are located on the NavBar (the long rectangle at the top). Most of them are suicidal blogs. For example, on the bar where it says "Pirate of The Carpe Diem" it says on another blog, "if I slit my wrist today, would anyone care?". ... Another one says "My Dark Thoughts" and there's nothing written. Also, a few minutes ago, one of this guy's posts is just scrolling. Just scrolling. I mean scrolling by,

Starting a new clan. o_0

I started a new clan called AN on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault-Breakthrough (a game) so I could fight the Nazi clan. They say that they created the clan because someone need to be a bad guy but they could've called themselves the Axis clan or the German clan; Nazi sounds too racist. I think i know what AN means to some of you but I will just call it the Allies clan.

Fencing

There's going to be fencing around 1:00 PM today. Apparently I wasn't woken up at 3:00 this morning which I was mad for because there was LIVE fencing men's sabre fencing. Also, a French fencer, Adeline Wuilleme, was in the quarter finals, she is or was supposed to fence Margherita Granbassi from Italy. If any of you have been to Grand Central and Columbia when there was the Women's fencing two years ago, Wuilleme was there. She lost to a Polish fencer who I think is attending in the Olympics and if I'm correct, her name is probably Gruchala but it doesn't seem familiar to me. Men's Team Sabre Medal Matches Gold Medal Match - ITA - FRA the time will be 19:40-19:40. The time is not a typo, I got it from the Athens 2004 website

Watching Shakespeare at 8:00 PM, and Wolf's Rain at 3:30 AM

Yesterday, I had to go see my French teacher at 5:30 PM. So, we (me and mother) arrived there, and I did my lesson. After that, we went to go see Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" in the park. It was fun, during the play. A heron (bird) went on the lights at the backround of the play. It came when the play was on it's first hour. A few minutes later it left. At the end very end however, right where the heron was, was exactly where they sparked up fireworks at the end (by the way the play was three hours long, so the fireworks came at the third hour).

When we got back home, It was too late for me to watch my favorite show, Wolf's Rain. When I looked at the channel guide, the only time they would replay the show was 3:30 AM. So, I waited till it was 3:30 AM. What? I'll do ANYTHING except for anything, crazy, to see that show. So, I woke up at 12:20 (PM) something. This morning I was singing lyrics of a song, "Sun's up, a little after 12:00, make breakfast for myself...".

Sailing Last Week

Last week on a Thursday, it was my second time taking sailing lessons at Pier 26. The week before that, I could not sail for the waters were too choppy and the two boats that went out had both capsized. The boats are only about three feet wide and four feet in length and were also made of hard plastic, so they were beginners boats. Last week, I was able to sail.

When I got on the boat, I noticed there was a spider, I doubt he or she made it through. When I got on the boat the boom, the pole which the sail connects to (by the way the boom was in a shape of an upside down triangle) , was taking over the boat. So you had to put your head down. When my counsellor got on the boat he told me to pull on the rope which pulls the sail out. So I did (remember I'm still looking down). When I looked up I was 11 yards away from the dock.

The boom the swayed to the starboard side (the right). So this time I could stop crouching down. The sailing was fun, my counsellor (by the way everybody on a boat had a counsellor, and three went at a time) taught me some sailing terms. He also told me to keep my head down since the boom is going to switch sides fast. When I did so, I did not put it down enough for when the boom came it hit the surface of my head and swiped my cap off. Luckily, the cap only was on a side of the boat.

A few minutes later, there was some water going onto the boat, then more water came onto the bow, so, I had to move to the stern. The bow then jumped up out of the water and we were fine. What was really bad though, was that the boat was moving towards the piling on Pier 27. Suddenly, we were surrounded by the pilings. That's when someone named Colin or some other name. He was on a kayak and helped us by taking the mooring rope from the bow and started to kayak toward the dock on Pier 26. Even my teacher went on a kayak and also kayaked toward us but we were then fine when he came.

So, that was my fun day sailing!

Moronic moron makers of moron.com

"I don't know why people are surprised the French don't want to help us get
Saddam out of Iraq. After all, France wouldn't help get the Germans out of
France."

One, the troops didn't go to Iraq to get rid of Saddam but to get rid of WMDs that weren't there.
Two, France didn't get rid of the Germans in their country because they were INVADED!

"The last time the French asked for 'more proof' it came marching into Paris
under the German flag."

One thing, the French may have been wrong in the 40s, but I have my proof why Iraq does not have WMDs, proof before the war happened. January 2000, Colin Powell said that there are no weapons in Iraq. Condaleezza Rice said before September 11, that there is no way Iraq can have weapons because America is not letting them have any. Hmm...

Ricky gone

Before I tell you what happened, let me explain. When I was 3-4 years old, I got a new friend, a dog named Ricky. Ricky was a Yorkshire Terrier. He was very much like a shark because he would attack you if you put your hand over his head, etc. The first day I had him, I remember eating breakfast in the kitchen, and my mom was gone but I was with my grandmother in the house. Suddenly the front opened with my mom having a surprise that's when Ricky started running toward me when I saw him (this was when I was 3-4 years old). Ricky was a great dog but a very vicious one, too.

Thursday, June 17th,Ricky died from heart worm. He was about 11 to 12 years old when he died. In 1999 and 2000 two ex-racing greyhounds also came. Neo who we adopted in 1999 who is black all over and has a white star on his chest and white paws. Oaky Destry which we changed to Destiny. Destiny was black and white with cow looking eyes. Destiny learned how to bark in a year which was very unusual for a greyhound. Neo was and is always very quite, if you, lets say, go and pet him he looks straight at you with his normal face and sniffs you, then it seems like he wants to lick you but is too embarassed because he licks his mouth in a quick way, and then looks down.

Neo is eight now, Destiny is six. Neo will be turning nine in October and Destiny seven in September. I hate to say and regret saying it but I thought Neo was going to die first because he would and still has seizures. The seizures are sarting to go away though, hasn't had them in a long time. The two greyhounds are very lazy; they sleep all day and just wait when it's lunch or dinner time. Ricky was always on guard. If anybody would pass by the house and I mean like if they were just on the sidewalk, he would bark till the person was a mile away. He would always try to chase the greyhounds when they would race in the backyard, he and Destiny would do something very odd. When the dogs were sleeping Destiny would sleep on Ricky's dog bed, which was about the size of a pillow, and Ricky would sleep on Destiny's dog bed, which was about just as wide as a matress, but a circle and a little bit bigger.

Ricky was the one who really made the liveliness out of the three: he would always bark as I said before, he would whyne so he could have some of your food, etc. Now that Ricky's dead it would be a bit boring with the other two greyhounds just sleeping there not really doing anything.

I hope Ricky is happy right now, wherever he is.

Halo

I know some of you don't really care about reading about games, but oh well. I just downloaded the trial for Halo. Halo is a game where you're this robot and fight for the humans against aliens, and it's sometime in the future. In the game, I was able to fight against other players online. No shit. The only thing is you can only play on one type of map and when you create an online game it's only up to four people, but it's still addicting.

No Vines e-mail

No letter yet. Still waiting. Well, I"m probably waiting too early.

Oh man...too funny

The Beatles, when they were mod

For those of you who don't know what The Vines look like...

The Kinks, a mod band

Winning Days

Anyone who likes light music, plus heavy metal would probably like the album "Winning Days" by The Vines. Also, I still haven't got a reply by K.K. But I have written to Michael Moore last week or the one before. Also, I wrote to The Vines sunday. Well, I wrote to there store but maybe the store can send the e-mail to The Vines band. The reason I wrote to the store, was because The Vines had no contact info as a link or anything on their webpage. Another thing, The Vines are coming to New York in Madison Square Garden June 25th they're probably not selling tickets yet because they're probably in Europe or somewhere. So Chris Barron and Frank we could get together and go see The Vines if you guys want.

The Rock Mod Blog

I made a blog 10 minutes ago, for Mods or for anyone who wants to read something. Oh, what does anyone think of a band name "Consciously Fated" good or bad? Just click on comments underneath this post. What does anyone think of music like The Vines or Sex Pistols and such?

Rock

I'm now into rock, I'm no punk or scream freak, but like normal rock music. Before I really got into rock I was and am into Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, The Who, etc. I also now like The Vines, I'm more into The Ramones, kinda like The Sex Pistols as long as I don't see the videos with the Sid Vicious mutilation in it. I now kind of listen to Lords of The New Church and more of The Vines. The songs I like are Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Hard Day's Night, Revolution, Norwegion Wood, I wanna hold your hand, Give Peace A Chance, Imagine, etc. by The Beatles. I like I Can See For Miles, Happy Jack, My Generation, Boris The Spider, Who are You, by The Who. Scarborough Faire, The Boxer, I Am A Rock, April Come She Will, Mrs. Robinson, etc. by Simon and Garfunkel. Blitzkriege Bop, I Wanna Be Sedated, etc. by The Ramones. Highly Evolved, Outtathaway, Get Free, Ride, WInnig Days, Animal Machine, TV Pro, Autumn Shade II, She's Got Something To Say To Me, Rainfall, By The Vines.

Sid Vicious, Weird Vicious Freak.

I went in to a book store "Coliseum" in the city today, and I went to the music section because they have a book "Lennon Legend" which contains copies of works that John Lennon did. I also saw these two books about The Sex Pistols. On one of the covers of the books it shows Sid Vicious with real or fake blood in a concert, (it had to be fake blood) and it was all weird to me. That's when my mom came and told me that he would also hurt himself on his chest. Yes Frank, it's true. Also, here's something.. But he was nice just kind of a little bit messed up in the head.

Bowling for Columbine

I just saw Bowling for Columbine today and recommend people that are Democratic and Republican just to watch the documentary and see how bleh this country is. The documentary is made by Michael Moore and won 30 awards.

Three Hours of Rock

My friends and me want to make a band. We don't have the full set so last night I went to one of my mom's friend's place who's the drummer in the band "The Amber Smith" to see if I can try out his instruments. He has a bass and some guitars. So we went to Astoria, Queens to go see him. While on the way, I went to this pizzeria called "Pizza Palace" which I got a gyro from. I noticed at the order menu it said "Freedom Fries". So I got pissed and ordered a gyro with FRENCH fries. After I ate I took a napkin and wrote a note on it saying "French fries are made in Belgium!" and then I put a HEINZ ketchup bottle to hold the napkin. And then I got a smoothie.

Once I reached the place I tried out his bass. And some of his friends' guitars. After that it was all music by The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Vines, and The White Stripes; Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds, Norwegion Wood, The Boxer, Scarborough Faire, Mrs. Robinson, Ride and Outtathaway, and finally Seven Nation Army. Those were all the songs that David played. A little between those songs we went upstairs (David lives in the basement) to see friends of ours, Cathy and Josh. Josh is also in a band, and he probably might be going to design school in Danmark.

The River Project

Friday March 21st 2004, I made it to the River Project rather late because I had to go to places before I went to the River Project. So I arrived there at 1:00 P.M. I was only there for only three hours. Then, I had to measure the oysters I measured two months ago. This time the water was nice and warm, but still dirty of course, if the water in the Hudson wasn't dirty I wouldm't be at the River Project. Five pages I think was the maximum of pages that people did of measuring the oysters of different tiers of bags. If it was, then the new record was of six pages which we did today.

Troy

I saw the movie "Troy" last week's Saturday. Four out of five people in the theatre have read the iliad and so have also probably also have read the Oddyssey. My review would be "Great movie! yatayatayata" and add in four stars. Anyway, it is an awesome film that has a few changes. A (not saying who unless you read the iliad) dies not during the time when the Trojan horse was in Troy but before. H, a Trojan prince dies from fighting with A not alone but during a battle. King A of Mycenae dies from his wife Clydemnestra from killing his daughter, Iphigenia, just so he can win the war. King Priam of Troy doesn't die. Menelaus (pronounced MènélAEus not menelauws)doesn't die.

Trip to the River Project

Before I tell you what happened Tuesday my mom when she was 5 would walk for 10 blocks by herself to a building to where her Danish father worked.

My mom had to go to houston st when I had to go to Franklin at the River Project Tuesday. By the way Franklin is two stops ahead on the local train downtown. So I basically had to go to where I usually buy sandwiches by myself *sarcastically* OOOO!
Of course I made it there alright. OOOO! I did it all by myself! I must feel proud because I haven't done anything like that before, OOOO!

AAAh! the wolves are everywhere!!! ah well what can we do they're staying here permanently. Anyone like the idea of the guys hanging around contact me at n0rfcountryboy@aol.com if you don't contact me at n0rfcountryboy@aol.com

Boating at The River Project, River shopping, and a new broken record

Two weeks ago, Tuesday, what I was to do was measure oysters. Not that was a problem or anything it's just that my fingers felt really cold after measuring the oysters because the water they were in was very cold. The day after that, Wednesday, I went to The River Project again so I could finish measuring oysters of a certain tier (we have the oysters in this oyster trap kind of object and so they're divided into five tiers so I was supposed to do Tier two and my friend, Cairo, Tier one. The same day I went boating! except we didn't use the motors that day so instead we rowed, me, Chris, and a kid named Solomon (Solomon is kind of an oddball sometimes but he's ok). The reason why I went boating was because three weeks before that Cairo, head-assistant intern Jeremy, and a staff member Tiago put up traps on the pilings on pier 26, (which is where the River Project is at). So that's why we had to go and check the traps. The week later (last week) I was meant to measure oysters again and I also met two other interns who usually go to the River Project on a weekend. The girl's name was Kerry who kind of curses a lot, and a guy in 10th grade named Devant. We finished measuring oysters of Tier four and Tier five and went home.
That's when the day after that, Wednesday, we got a call from Jeremy saying that the tide is good enough to go boating. So that day we went boating. Oh I forgot to mention a guy named Scott became the new head of interns so he was there that day. This time we used the motors on the boats. We used two boats a big one which was made of steel which had a kind of turquoise color on it saying "The River Project" another one, which was smaller and was green which was the one me and Jeremy were on. The other one carried Kerry, Tiago, and Scott. We didn't check the traps this time but just wrote them down and set up some new ones, we were trying to use a power drill but it couldn't drive the nails in to keep the traps up so that's when we just tied the ropes that the traps were connected to to the pilings. After doing the traps we went for a few rides. Jeremy went at the motor's top speed which made me almost lose my hat and sent the boat flying in the air and smacking hard against the water which gave me a neck cramp but wore off quickly. Between the piers 26 and 27 we found a good piece of wood and found a decent stool in the water. What Tiago and the other guys got were lots of tennis balls and baseballs. That's what I call River shopping (instead of street shopping).

Also the new broken record is of how long it took me to create a new post. - Alex

The Protest against the war and The River Project No.2

I forgot to mention that I went to a Protest last week which was against the war and to bring the troops back home already. The protesting was cool and tiring. It was tiring because my feet are pronated and they don't have an arch so if I walk for a while my feet will start to hurt so that's what happenned. The rest was awesome, people were having pins and stickers and signs for example: "Bush Lies Who Dies?" and others I can't remember. I was wearing a pin which said "Back by Popular Demand" and it had a peace sign in the middle, I had two bumper stickers on my back saying "Friends Don't Let Friends Vote Republican" and "Are We Kinder and Gentler Yet?" with bombs in the air as a backround, we also had a sign but I don't remember what it said because we put it back somewhere in some pile of signs for after the march. One-fourth of the way when we were walking we found out that someone was throwing down water from a building but nothing happened when we passed by.

The River Project No.1

I'm here at he River Project today, and Chris had let me use his laptop for a few minutes. Also, to you readers, Happy Saint Patrick's Day!! Chris on phone "Then you walk... the you go right...the direction you're going is Beach street...should we call our girlfriends later to meet us?" I must go before Chris finds out what I'm writing. Oh Hi Chris stop reading this please.

Snow Day

Yesterday it snowed like %$#!&(^!. Yet how odd though. Today it is also supposed to snow. Anyway Yesterday after leaving from The River Project, I had to go to the Tenement Museum with a group of buddies. I thought they had a lot to show but there were only four things to see, the hall, two families' apartments and just one empty room with a sink. Here's an example of one of the apartments.

Going to Central Islip, Long Island

Yesterday I had to go to Long Island to a People To People Student Ambassador meeting. It was my second time going to a meeting the first was in February 11. The meetings we have there are always fun. The students including me that are there are all going to Australia and New Zealand, we are all going to be one group. There are 43 of us. Yesterday while I was on the train, in front of me and my mother there was a single file of three or four sleeping people. One with the mouth open, the other with a closed face, and the other was chewing in her sleep. To me it first seemed like she was talking in her sleep but no, she was just moving her mouth in a way which made it look like she had something in her mouth. That's when a thought came up to me, maybe something delicious like the world's best chocolate cake was in her dream. "Aaah chocolate cake aah" were what she was thinking in her dream

Scarsdale

I am in Westchester in Scarsdale. I am in the library, typing a new post. it is nice in Scarsdale, there are many trees and there's lots of grass. The library has many big windows so you can see outside. Right now from the view of a window in front of me the library is on grass and about 7 leafless trees, and 50 feet away is a small road where right there are two cars on the road, one black and one blue. There is also a white truck with black cows on it with letters that read "Milk Man." Also, there are many cadillacs, audis, mercedes, and that's pretty much it.

Going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Today I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with my French teacher Catherine. We went there to go look at Impressionist paintings by Impressionist painters. We went to the 19th century gallery. There were paintings by Van Gough, Monet, Cezanne, Manet, Seurat, etc. If you look at all the different pieces of Impressionist paintings by the artists you can tell that each artist painted differently.

For example, Van Gogh would paint more with curves.

Monet would paint of things that were always outside and that his paintings were very well done that he didn't need to draw the sun's reflection on the water to show that it was outside.

Seurat would paint with small dabs with the brush, or should I say dots of colors.

Renoir would paint things outside, like the country side of France, and of rich people. Well, I wouldn't say "Rich people" but more to express the outer side of people.

Edgar Degas would paint ballet subjects and also just people.

Paul Cezanne painted things lightly in a way.

Gauguin would paint things with boundaries using black and the people he would paint would be kind of "big" looking but looking more with strength.

When you look close up of paintings of Impressionism you can see the body of a person is used with not pink but pink with orange, red, blue, purple, etc. When me and my teacher Catherine were listening to a Museum instructor was asking a group of teenage students somehow made me tired of hearing it over and over. The question which is usually recognized when someone is showing art is "What do you see in the painting?" of course they had to answer but I noticed the instructor from the MET did not once mention what my french teacher Catherine would mention. Which is of what I said about the artists and close up you can see every color that was used in the painting not pink.

The so called "basics"

My mother is part of this yahoo group that has to do with parents that are homeschool parents. So last night when I signed on my mother's screen name on aol, I read a letter from this crazy lady, I shouldn't say "crazy" more like "not very smart" lady, who has to do with the homeschool yahoo group and e-mails 4 letters per second, sent four letters. I read one of them. It said about how her son is so darling like and that she doesn't want to teach him the "horrifying" details of WWII. He is 11. Stop treating him like some "darling" 4 year old. The basics of the 11 year old child of hers that knows about WWII is about every single plane, bomb, torpedo, submarine, bomber airplane, et cetera. This is more of a "obsessed" type of basics of WWII.

It's like saying that her son knows every sword, arrow, bow, nazgul, ring-wraith, elf, human, dwarf was used in Lord Of The Rings when he does not know point of what was J.R.R. Tolkien was trying to interpret from Lord Of The Rings. Which is how the ring is more described as a machine of power that people want are greedy over for power.

The River Project

Every Tuesday I go to a place called The Hudson River Project. What we do there, me and other interns, is that we study the life in the Hudson river. Today was a nice day. It was a hot day for February. I went to The Hudson River Foundation which I had never to been before. I went there for a meeting. After the meeting I walked with my mom and with an assistant intern and also a staff member friend of mine, Chris, towards the Hudson River Project. Since it was a nice day, I was actually able to teach Elaine, the assistant intern, how to do the chemical tests outside on the dock. After that me and Chris caught three shrimp in one of the fish traps and had set them free.

Year of The Monkey.

Yay! Finally I get to celebrate my zodiac sign. Today I went to Chinatown and so a whole big parade of lion dancing, and drumming. I still can't figure out why there was a dragon dance there when it's year of the monkey. Anyway the parade was a blast, people were throwing poppers on the streets, people were shoving and pushing and we still didn't go anywhere. That's when me and my mother ended up in a store to wait inside until everybody was finally moving. The police finally came to be able to direct for people to go because on the sidewalk we were on, everybody was going in one direction. Then, when the parade was over, the stupid idiotic police wouldn't let us cross the street, saying that the block was closed and we had to go around the block to get past when the parade was over. People started going through the barricades and crossing the street. We went back home and had took a nap, that's where I woke up and am telling the story. - Alex

No reply.

I sent a letter to Keira Knightly to England, and I was expecting to recieve a letter back from her til my mother said it actually might take a month. :::Smack::: duh what was I thinking? I thought. Now I sent the letter the tuesday before October 20th ( October 11th ) mind you, and I still haven't got an answer back from her. So basically it's been more than three months I've sent the letter and I'm still waiting for a reply. Abuela did you get a letter back from England??? (I wonder what's taking so long) :::smack again::: she's acting in a movie called King Arthur that's coming up. No wonder why. Ah well I'm going to wait for one more month and we'll see. If there's a reply then I'll be happy, if there's no reply than I'm going to send another letter gah durnit! - Alex.

The Lord of The Rings Return Of The King

European Orbiter vs. American Rover

Today I found out that a European orbiter had found water on Mars.

When I noticed this news, NASA shouldn't have sent the rover to Mars when it's going to take a while for it to stop bouncing and rolling and it still hasn't unfolded itself. When the rover unfolds itself it could take several days to do that, and yet the Europeans are already ahead. All what they did was send an orbiter to Mars which is a lot more efficient than sending the rover because it can gather more info since it's like looking at a map (of water vapor) - Alex
